Foresight Ski Guides' mission is to promote fitness, athletic skills, personal achievement, and self-esteem for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The nonprofit works with blind or visually impaired people to let them experience snow sports in a safe environment. Foresight Ski provides guides, shadows, lift tickets, rental equipment, and access to discounted lodging. Pastor Kristi experienced this firsthand in February and said it was an inspiring experience. In 2021, the nonprofit held its first summer camp, where campers could experience stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, fly-fishing and more. The program was started in 2002 by Mark Davis, who had been skiing the Rocky Mountains since the 1960s, but found Multiple Sclerosis left him visually impaired in 1999, according to an article from the Vail Daily.
