This Sunday, 2/18, we have a special presenter, our own Liz Kelpis, who will share "Rebuilding Hope After Disaster." Liz works for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Emergency Support Function 11, and her job is tasked with feeding people and animals following a natural disaster. She has helped and ministered to people after recent storms. What a calling!
MEN'S PRAYER BREAKFAST
Men’s prayer breakfast will be meeting at IHOP at 3100 S. Sheridan in Bear Valley at 7:30 AM. Our lesson will be from Mark’s gospel 1 vs 15-19. Please join us as we look at this first lesson in Lent.
LENTEN WORSHIP & SOUP SUPPERS
During the five weeks of Lent, starting Wednesday, February 21, Atonement will have Lenten worship services each Wednesday at 11:30 AM and 7:00 PM. The 7:00 PM services will follow the Holden Evening Prayer liturgy. Prior to each evening service, there will be a soup supper starting at 5:30 PM. Soups will be provided by ministry teams, and others are asked to bring a salad, bread, or dessert with you to share. Please join us for worship and dinner!
HANNAH CIRCLE WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY
The next meeting of Atonement's Hannah Circle women's Bible study group will be on Tuesday, February 20 from 1-3 PM in the narthex. The study we will be using is available in the narthex. All women are welcome!
PAY IT FORWARD
For the last Sunday of each month, members of Atonement prepare frozen, homemade meals. These meals are packaged in "to-go" boxes, and can be taken to anyone to "Pay It Forward," such as a neighbor, friend, family member, or even yourself. This month's Pay It Forward event is on Sunday, February 25. Please consider participating in this program! A free will donation is accepted for the meals, but is not required.
GROCERY GIFT CARDS
King Soopers and Safeway re-loadable grocery gift cards are sold between services on the last Sunday of each month. Atonement receives a percentage of sales and re-loads. These proceeds are used to fund any Atonement project or special need and to support various ministries. Atonement appreciates the support of this fundraiser!
We hope you enjoy some morning coffee each Sunday in our narthex. To help offset the cost of supplies, your free-will donation is greatly appreciated. Donations can be dropped in the coffee-fund box located in the narthex.
For the month of December, Community Ministry has asked Atonement to supply canned meat, such as pulled pork or chicken. Toiletry items are also needed. Please leave these or any other non-perishable food items in the grocery basket in Atonement's sanctuary entryway.
